In every human cell lies a blueprint of life that, from the very beginning, determines who we are and what we can become.
This blueprint is encoded in our DNA—unique and unchangeable. This is our design.
The Human Design System affirms the ancient assumption that the moment of our birth is inseparably linked to the “programming” of our genes and development that occurred beforehand.
A computer-generated calculation connects our birth data with the binary code of the Chinese I Ching and translates it into a “biochemical map”—the bodygraph, known as the Rave Chart.
On your personal Rave Chart, you can visually trace the fundamental genetic patterns of your personality and identify strategies for a life without resistance. Mental and physical health, relationships, behavior, decision-making, identity, and your unique way of perception and motivation—all of this and more can be explained through this individual genetic “user manual.” Guilt and (self-)blame dissolve; a life in harmony becomes the natural result.
The Human Design System merges ancient esoteric systems—Astrology, the I Ging, the Chakra System, and the Kabbalah—with modern sciences—Astronomy, Genetics, Biochemistry, and Quantum Physics. Science is slow. It requires strictly regulated testing and defined conditions.
Synthesis—the sum of two parts forming a far greater whole—is faster. The validity of the Human Design System is intended for personal verification. The concrete insights of a reading and the clear content of the courses are meant to be tested and confirmed through everyday, practical experience.
Scientific validation will follow—just as it has already happened with the prediction that neutrinos are particles with mass and with the statistical verification of the so-called types (see statistics).
The I Ching, the Chinese “Book of Changes,” is a philosophical system from ancient China (a book of oracles and wisdom). It is based on a binary code (Yin / Yang) through which the processes and patterns of life can be described.
The I Ching consists of 64 hexagrams, each made up of 6 lines. Structurally, each hexagram corresponds to a genetic codon. Therefore, the 64 hexagrams can be translated into the 64 codons of the genetic matrix.
The Human Design System enables every individual to understand their own “genetic matrix” through the visual representation of the bodygraph.
Genetics is a specialized field of biology concerned with the structure and composition of genetic material, as well as the laws of heredity. The genetic material—referred to as the genome—contains all the information needed to build an organism. This information is carried by nucleic acid, specifically the DNA molecule. Certain segments of DNA contain a code known as the genetic code, which functions similarly to Morse code. A single unit of this code is called a codon, made up of a specific sequence of three nucleotides—the building blocks of DNA. These triplets are translated into amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, during protein synthesis.
Chaos theory was the first to establish a link between the I Ching and the genetic code. There are 64 genetic codons and 64 hexagrams in the I Ching. Each hexagram can thus be assigned to a specific codon, and consequently to a specific amino acid. This connection is one of the scientific foundations for understanding the Human Design System. It allows every individual to trace their personal genetic “matrix” visually in their bodygraph.
Astrology (from Greek “interpretation of the stars”) is the art of deriving specific time qualities from the positions of celestial bodies. It also serves as a basis for insights into destiny and the future. Astrology presumes a correspondence between macrocosmic and microcosmic events.
Detailed and reliable statements about biological processes in the body cannot be made using astrology alone. In the Human Design System, every astrological position in the horoscope or zodiac can be mapped to a specific hexagram of the I Ching and to a function or position within the body.
To create a Rave Chart (bodygraph), two horoscopes are used: one reflecting the time quality at the moment of birth (Personality), and one 88 degrees of solar movement before birth (Design).
Astronomy (from Greek “law of the stars”) includes all branches of natural science that study the universe. This includes the origin and evolution of the cosmos, including our solar system, the sun as a fixed star, and the planets. Astronomy also describes and calculates celestial mechanics. Precise calculations of planetary positions at specific times are essential not only for astrology, but also for the Human Design System. For chart creation, precise astronomical data from NASA is used.
Physics is the science that explores all phenomena and processes that can be experimentally measured and mathematically described. One branch deals with elementary particles—the smallest units of matter that cannot be divided further using current means or energy levels. Matter is composed of some of these elementary particles.
The universe began with the Big Bang and emerged as duality: quark–lepton, yin–yang. It expanded, forming neutrons and protons from quarks, and electrons and neutrinos from leptons.
Protons and neutrons joined with electrons to form atoms—thus, atomic reality was born. However, all atoms together represent only about 4% of the mass of the universe. A possible explanation for the “missing” mass (dark matter and dark energy) lies in neutrinos—particles generated in stars.
Neutrinos are unimaginably small and exist in vast numbers. They travel through the universe at nearly the speed of light. In 1997, it was experimentally confirmed that neutrinos possess a minuscule amount of mass. Because they interact so weakly with matter, they can pass through the Earth without being absorbed.
Every square centimeter of the human body is penetrated by approximately 60,000,000,000 neutrinos per second. This scientific fact is a key to the Human Design System.
Neutrinos carry the program—they transmit information. All planets, including Earth and all its inhabitants, are constantly permeated by this stream of cosmic data.
The Human Design System enables every person to trace the individual impact of this physical reality down to their physical and psychological processes.
Chakras (from Sanskrit “wheels”) are subtle energy centers in the body, according to Indian teachings. They are associated with endocrine glands and can absorb, store, and release energy.
The Human Design System recognizes 9 body centers that describe the flow of energy in the body. This allows a horoscope to be “translated” into a bodygraph. Biological dispositions and their effects are made visually tangible.
Biochemistry studies all chemical processes within living organisms. As a subfield of chemistry, it explores the material composition of life. This includes uncovering the structure and function of substances such as hormones and their impact on metabolism and even psychological states.
This reveals a connection to the Indian chakra teachings, as chakras are linked to the hormonal glands of the body. Various hormonal regulatory circuits control both physical and psychological processes. This is one of the scientific foundations of the Human Design System. As a result, it becomes possible to make precise physical recommendations for individuals (e.g., diet, metabolism, etc.).
Kabbalah (Hebrew for “tradition” or “secret teaching”) refers to the theosophical, Jewish mysticism based on God’s communication with Moses. It is one of the oldest Western attempts to describe the laws of spiritual and material creation. A key aspect of Kabbalah is the “Tree of Life,” which consists of 10 Sephiroth connected by 23 paths.
The Human Design System has 9 centers connected by 36 channels. As in the Kabbalah, each channel is composed of two parts. The combination of these parts forms something new—a third element—going beyond the sum of its components.
In Human Design, a channel is called a “definition.” This allows each individual to trace precisely how, for example, their thinking or feeling is “defined.”
